Blow Through Subwoofer Blueprint Design
What is a blueprint design?
-
A blueprint design is a digital drawing that we create for you that you use as a guide to easily build your own custom subwoofer box. To get the best performance out of your subwoofer you need a custom design that is optimized for your application. We use your subwoofer specs, your vehicle specs and your musical preferences to 3D design your exact subwoofer box. The blueprint design drawing has all the dimensions you need to make the box, along with assembly views. This makes it easy to build your very own custom subwoofer box that is designed to get the best performance for you. See a sample design here!
What will my design look like?
-
Based on your subwoofer(s) and system goals we will use our years of design experience to select the best subwoofer orientation (and port location if applicable) for your application. We will review this with you once an order is placed.
How big is the box?
-
These box designs are custom. What this means is after you place an order we email you a simple list of the additional information and rough measurements we need. Since you will be providing the measurements the box we design will fit within your measurements and fit your vehicle. If it won't quite work we will work with you to determine a solution that will. Note that if we determine we need to reduce the number of subwoofers used, or switch to a different enclosure style because your application does not have enough space we do not provide a partial refund if the new design would have originally cost less. If a different design is a better choice than what was ordered we always discuss this with you prior to completing the design.
Do you use the subwoofers specs for designing the box?
-
Of course! The whole point of building a custom box is to optimize the performance of YOUR exact subwoofers.

Odd shaped enclosures:
-
For vehicle applications where the box cannot be a wedge or rectangular in shape, or where the shape differs from the style shown in this product listing CAF reserves the right to quote additional design time. Note that some enclosure types will feature all dimensions for each piece of the enclosure on an assembled enclosure view.
Cosmetic Features:
-
Enclosure upgrades that enhance the cosmetic appearance of the enclosure (example: viewing windows, logos, beauty panels, etc) will not be shown in the design blueprint. These are up to the builder of the enclosure to add. We also do not show wiring terminals. These should be located at assembly by the installer of the built enclosure.
Units:
- CAF designs are made in inch units. For those requiring metric units an additional upgrade will be necessary here.
Bandpass Enclosure Type:
- For bandpass enclosures we design for a fourth order bandpass application.
